Third-Exhibit-AnouncementResurrecting a deceased (beloved Berkshire) artist for this show, we will feature Bessie Boris’ “Botanicals”. The rest of the artists are still very much alive and productive.  We are proudly showing Warner Friedman’s paintings from his ‘White Series’, plus a couple of his ‘skies’; seaside drawings of the ever energetic Lorna Ritz; Terri Moore’s beguiling “Bergs”, watercolor on Yupo; Nina Evans’ colorful glass roundels; Meryl Joseph’s striking abstract oil paintings, plus a few of her “archeological” assemblages.  For sculpture these months you will be treated to David Bryce’s orientally inspired characters.  The craft room will now highlight new watercolors by Ellen Kaiden, very wet and glowing.  And don’t miss the absolutely charming collages by Lorraine Klagsbrun.  Finally, the talented Naomi Grossman, whose wire sculptures of women have been so intriguing to all, will now exhibit drawings and photos of figures she’s made quite her own.

After the Opening Reception, we will be treated to a concert by the lovely “Nightingale of Brooklyn”, Ms. Maya Solovey.  So stick around.  You’ll be glad you did.

This will be our first holiday show, and it is full of delights.  We will be showing many small and not so small works by about 25 artists, including still lifes by Janet Rickus, and Ellen Kaiden. Stephanie Anderson has some incredible drawings, plus a new collage.  Jim Youngerman's active mind has also created fantastic drawings. You won't believe the beauty of Kathleen Cammarata's flower drawings.  Lorraine Klagsbrun and Shellie Schneider too have been busy creating new collaged work. Landscapes, both realistic and fantastic will be represented by Murray Zimiles, Michael Filmus, Warner Friedman, Jennifer Pazienza, Larry Zingale plus Eunice Agar.  We can't let the abstract work get away from us, and that will be covered by David Skillicorn, and Joe Goodwin.  We are proud to feature these photographers: Michael Lavin Flower, Judy Mauer, Maurine Sutter, Martin Greene and Jean Germaine.  Come, be inspired and enjoy!

Global entrepreneur and visionary storyteller Amber Chand weaves together the events of her life — an eclectic tapestry of Indian arranged marriages, English boarding schools, military coups in Uganda, encounters with Rwandan genocide survivors, and the rise and fall of her multi-million dollar company — in this acclaimed one woman performance that audiences have described as "riveting", "powerful" and "Inspirational". This is a universal human story that touches us all, presented through the lens of one global woman as she awakens and claims her authentic place in the world.

    GRAFFITI EN MASS

Yes, graffiti in a gallery, not on your local town alley walls or trains.  It won’t even be directly on the walls of this gallery, but on canvases and paper, etc .– just like the normally great art I’ve been showing since we opened last May.

Three artists, all from Massachusetts, one in his 20’s, another in his 30’s and the last in his 40’s – mature artists who express themselves in this most contemporary of art forms will be featured.  Their work is dynamic, exciting and really interesting.  I am so enthusiastic about sharing it with you!

The show will run from January 14th to Feb. 27th.

A first anniversary!  Hooray – one good year passed, many more to come.  Congratulations!

For our first anniversary show we will be featuring Murray Zimiles, who is concurrently having a show in Paris, and whose work was bought by the Holocaust Museum in NYC.  Also returning, with great excitement about his new work, David Skillicorn will have several new paintings.  Two great Great Barrington photographers, John MacGruer and Jane Mc Whorter will be showing their beautiful work too.  A new artist for the Gallery is Judy Hawkins, a skillful artist from Vermont.  Helga Orthofer found her inspiration in fire hydrants!  Don’t laugh! They’re totally whimsical and wonderful.  And if you missed picking up one of Lorrraine Klagsbrun’s collages last year – not to worry – she will be returning with fresh work.   We are all lucky to welcome Spring with this plethora of good art.

Another diverse and wonderful show coming up: a couple from France will be featured in the Alcove: Anne Servantin Loeb's elegant ceramics will be accompanied by her husband David Loeb's beautiful paintings; landscapes primarily, but perhaps even a still life.  Ali Moshiri has brought in his "night fishing" series, as well as a couple of sumptuous "Spring Garden" paintings.  Murray Hochman returns with a series of dreamy, airy abstracts, & Judy Mauer, a new photographer for the Gallery, will be showing some of her Dolls, as well as her abstract images.  And for serious fun, Jorge Silveira will tickle you with his portraits.
